Is your royalty check right?
Recreate the decimal on your division order from three numbers, then put last month’s check against it. Free, instant, and nothing you type leaves your browser.
Your decimal interest
Enter your acres, the unit size, and your royalty to see the decimal. Everything runs in your browser — nothing you type is sent or stored.
Under the hood
The formula on your division order.
Decimal interest = your net acres in the unit ÷ the unit’s acres × your royalty rate. That’s the whole secret.
A few honest caveats. If the unit spans several tracts with different royalty rates, each tract gets its own decimal and your stub may show several lines. Some states prorate horizontal wells by lateral footage rather than acreage. And every check reflects post-production deductions, the oil/gas/liquids mix, and a month or two of reporting lag — so small differences are normal, while large, persistent ones deserve a question.
If the gap won’t close and the stub won’t explain itself, we’re glad to read it with you — that’s a conversation, not a commitment. Hypothetical math, not an audit or legal advice; your division order and lease govern.
No pressure, ever
A check that doesn’t add up is worth a conversation.
